Pick: Mallorca Result: Pending Stake: 7/10 Odds: 2.60 Bookmaker: Bet365 vCash: Yes
Posted: Nov 03, 2007, 12:45
As I said before, I like this Mallorca team a lot. They provide great attacking football especially at home. Players like Guiza, Arango and Ibagaza are doing great job upfront, creating many troubles to opponent defense. They hold pretty good home record (3-1-1) with only lose against inform Villareal(pretty undeserved through). Now Islanders face Valencia which is struggling a lot lately especially in defense. Fact that Los Che allowed 14 goals in last five matches speaks it self. Simply awful. Now Valencia fired coach Quique Sanchez Flores and Ronald Koeman(former PSV Eindhoven coach) took his place. He seems pretty optimistic about Valencia future, but still in my opinion there need some time to improve. Additionally poor from there are some injury problems - Edu and David Villa are both still sidelined for Saturday's game, as are Carlos Marchena, Santiago Canizares and Ruben Baraja, but Raul Albiol is suspended. On the other hand Mallorca misses first goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya, while David Navarro can not play against his former club. I can't see Valencia playing well even if they have solid away record. Mallorca is too solid at the moment and should win this one.

Pick: Daugava Result: 0-1 Stake: 9/10 Odds: 4.50 Bookmaker: myBet vCash: No
Posted: Oct 06, 2007, 15:24
A little bit early pick but I'm sure these odds a worth to try. Reason is Jurmala form. They really have all kind of problems that one team can suffer. In last three rounds they got shocking results: 0-3 against another struggling team Dinaburga, 0-2 at home vs youths Olimps and last and best one 0-10 against Ventspils on Thursday. Coach said that He doesn't have any ideas how to turn this around. Players are playing like from 3rd league without any effort and ambitions. Team is under big question mark for next season. On the other hand Daugava is showing nice lately - took one point from Metalurgs on road, lost 1-2 in weird match against Riga, which scored from two penalties as usually, and draw with Skonto. Actually Daugavpils club was so unlucky to didn't win last one. They dominated all match and showed that season isn't yes over for them. So I believe they have great chances in Jurmala, which is hard to call as team at the moment. Also all previous meetings this season won Daugavpils(5-0,1-0,2-1). So early odds doesn't make sense for me.

Pick: Under 2.5 Result: 0-2 Stake: 8/10 Odds: 1.75 Bookmaker: BWin vCash: Yes
Posted: Sep 25, 2007, 19:02
I think this is quite logical pick. Deportivo's struggling over last few seasons continues. Team model stays from previous year - well balanced defense, best goalkeeper in league and no much creativity in attack. Deportivo have only one victory - against another poor team - Betis. Last round they played scoreless draw with Getafe. But to be honest Deportivo must be really happy about one point. Getafe was all over in that match with dozens of goal chance. I still can't believe that they didn't score. Now things could be better at home, but still not positive about them. On the other hand Huelva despite few injured problems doing quite well. Sinama Pongolle is still injured and Javi Guerrero remains as only player that can do something upfront. Last round they got first season win over Espanyol bouncing back being 0-1 down. In my opinion It was mainly thanks to shaky Barcelona's team defense and nothing more. I believe scoring will be hard task for them in Riazor. This match is critical for both teams I expect low scoring game with possible score 0-0. So I take under bet here.

Pick: Murcia Result: 0-1 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.30 Bookmaker: Betsson SB vCash: Yes
Posted: Sep 25, 2007, 18:17
Murcia is showing great football as newcomers. I saw match against Athletico and I was really impressed about them. Despite being down early they keep playing their game and dominated all match. So Murcia should definitely get victory there. Also last round they defended well against red hot Villarreal. They have nice players upfront such as Baiano, Reguerio and Movilla that create good scoring chances. On the other hand Almeria despite fluke win in La Coruna did quite poor in La Liga, conceding quite a lot goals. In last round they were so lucky to hold a draw against Mallorca, because their defense looked awful and away team create a lot great goal chances. And If they played in this way at home I don't believe It won't be much better after three days on road. I think Murcia is in better shape right now and should win this match.

Pick: R Ginepri ML Result: Not registered Stake: 8/10 Odds: 1.57 Bookmaker: Globet vCash: Yes
Posted: Jul 23, 2007, 20:31
Yes I know Ginepri's performance in last months are really poor, only two wins in last 10 matches. But still US Open series is favorite for Robby and I believe He will show his best here, especially in Indianapolis where reached semis last year and won title in 2005. So I expect good performance in this year too. Ginepri is great player when he fulfill his potential and doesn't choke. On the other hand Berrer is showing pretty good tennis lately, but still looks more like challenger player. He didn't win any top player. So in my opinion Ginepri should win this one quite easily.

Pick: V.Hanescu ML Result: Not registered Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.40 Bookmaker: vCash: Yes
Posted: Jul 23, 2007, 19:46
Must take a bet. Hanescu finally seems bounce back after some injury problems. Slowly, slowly He gets back in play rhythm. He reached final in Milan challenger and quarters in Reggio Emilia. Last week He beat solid clay courter Montanes. Now I expecting him to raise his playing level even more here in Croatia. On the other hand Tipsarevic is clearly in downtrend. After successful performance in Wimbledon He seems totally unmotivated for summer clay events. Last week He get trashed by Andreev 1-6 1-6 and then retired in Tennis Bundesliga against Lars Uebel. So I think something is wrong with him and Hanescu defintely is hungrier for wins. So that makes this bet really good.

Pick: under 21 games Result: Not registered Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.85 Bookmaker: Unibet vCash: Yes

This is really high stake bet for me considering form lately. Djokovic is top3 in world. He is showing really good performance this year. His most imporant advantage is mental strength and He proved it many times this season. Win over Nadal in Miami final was very important for Nole's confidence. Of course It was on hard but anyway Serbian is great clay court player too. So there shouldn't be any problems. He faces Gaudio who Is out of order in last half year. Nothing much to talk about him. Just pathetic game and that's all. If in begininning I believe that He will be back on track than now I have ver big doubts about it. I saw a little bit from his match against Turusunov and There was only looser in match, not any winner. When russian played how he can there was no chance for Gaudio. Argentine shots was poor and mostly placed back in center. Djokovic will destroy him with these kind of play. He will not make so many unforced errors as Dima did. So I expect Gato to be bagaled here. And I don't care about points he must defend from last year. So under 21 looks perfect for me.

Pick: Dominic Hrbaty Result: Not registered Stake: 6/10 Odds: 3.76 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 18, 2007, 00:26
This pick isn't so much on Hrbaty than against Gasquet after I watched his marathon match against Verdasco. It took more than three hours for Frenchman to get victory threre. It was great much with many up and downs and a lot of entertainment too. But to be honest it was more up to Spaniard. If He hit shots in Gasquet was pretty helpless. But as You know there is a big mess in Nando head. But He did great damage for Richie stamina. Verdasco let him run a lot and it was far from baseline. So I really can't stand out how fit He will look just after 24 hours against player who also loves opponent to run. Of course Hrbaty isn't my favourite player in tour but still I see chances for him despite not easy 1st round match too. Gasquet can tank out here.

Pick: Santander (+0.5) Result: 2-1 Stake: 9/10 Odds: 1.83 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 12, 2007, 12:38
In my opinion odds are a little bit wrong. Santander is hottest team in La Liga at the moment. They are playing really great especially at El Sardinero. Main reason for success is Munitis and Zigic. They are true leaders for this team. Also all other knows each other perfectly and they are playing very balanced football. I believe this team will be very motivated against Galacticos which in my eyes are luckiest team in away matches. True that they have best record there but I can't see that quality from them. For example last away match against Celta. Real was lucky to get these kind of opponent which have worst defense in La Liga. Now task will be much harder. I believe Santander won't loose this one. They have quality to get at least draw.

Pick: Bilbao (+0.25) Result: 1-0 Stake: 7/10 Odds: 1.90 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 07, 2007, 09:32
Interesting clash tonight. Both teams need points but target is absolute different - Bilbao fight to avoid relegation, Valencia - to top places. Valencia is comming after exellent match in Stamford Bridge in CL. They held 1-1 draw that makes good chances for them to qualify. Valencia is 6 points behind Barcelona what makes very slim chances for title. And now after good stuff in Europe I easily can see lazy Valencia in La Liga. Their away record is far from impressive with 4-4-6 record. Reason for this is lack of motivation in this kind of matches. Valencia is without Vicente, Morientes what is important. What about Athletic Bilbao. They area in drop zone at the moment but point difference is very short. Last round they played historical match with another Basque team - Racing Santander. Result was 4-5 but all in all it was crazy match with a lot of fighting from both teams. But I don't blame Bilbai team for loosing because Santander is really top team at the moment. Now I see chance for Bilbao. OK they have worst home record at the moment but still I believe they can improve it. Unmotivated and tired Valencia definetly is beatable. Bilbao will give 100% behind their home crowd to get at least 1 point. So I like Pinnacle offer here.

Pick: Alex Kuznetsov Result: Not registered Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.21 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 22, 2007, 09:45
Great value in my eyes on American. Reason is Starace's weak performance on hard. He almost don't play on this surface and loose almost everyone. So actually I'm very suprised that odds are sligthly over 2.00. Potito faces Kuznetsov. 20 years old American who lives on hard court and spend all time here. He is still young and progressing but somehow I believe this kid here. He has great powerful shots and He definetly can trouble Starace.
